It’s been a while since I posted here. Since that time I’ve experienced some surprising highs and some shattering lows. Life has a funny habit of heading you down roads that you never dreamed you’d take, and shifting your perspectives and priorities in surprising ways. They say that the one constant is change – I’d agree with that, but with a caveat – faith. Faith is a constant too.
- To choose to live in hope is an expression of faith in oneself.
- To feel that people are generally good and kind is faith in humanity
- The perspective that the world is a beautiful place full of endless possibilities is faith in the universe
Faith, although it occasionally wavers, is a constant in my world. Love, truth, hope, thinking constructively – these are the cornerstones by which I choose to live my life. There are so many negative things that are easy to focus on – it’s human nature to look at the problems that exist in our lives, and so it’s easy to get caught up in that perspective. I’m not suggesting for a second that we should pretend that everything’s fine – it clearly isn’t, but to choose to live a life that focuses on the positive is an approach that enriches us all.
Faith may be a constant but it’s that way by choice. I choose to look toward the endless possibilities for good.
